North Trafford CMHT are looking to recruit an experienced social worker. Working within the Adults Community Mental Health Team in Trafford, you will be based in a fully integrated multi-disciplinary team managed by Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust and will work alongside colleagues from nursing, occupational therapy and medical backgrounds.
You will be a skilled and reflective social work practitioner with demonstrable experience of working with severe mental illness in a community setting.
You will care co-ordinate a caseload of service users with mental health needs; assess new referrals including safeguarding and vulnerable adult referrals; and actively contribute to a multi-disciplinary approach to the management of the health and social care needs of the users of our service. You will be familiar with the CPA process and report writing for Mental Health Review Tribunals. The role will include AMHP duties and being part of the AMHP Rota.
You will feel competent and able to work alongside other stake holders in order to deliver the care needed by our clients, and feel able to review the effectiveness of this care on a regular basis.
You will also need sound knowledge of up to date legislation around the mental health act, mental capacity act and safe guarding agenda.
You will be joining a highly supportive and motivated team with a strong commitment to learning and practice development. You will be given regular clinical and managerial supervision.

The CMHT covers the North and West of the borough and provides a 365 day service. Therefore some weekend and bank holiday working will be required on a rota basis.
